Radley AC Kear Memorial Open Graded Meeting
Local athletics enthusiasts Eileen Kear, her husband Charles, Jill Slatter and Vie Franks founded Radley Ladies AC in 1972, which then became Radley Athletic Club in 2002.
In memory of Charles and Eileen Kear, each year the Club holds the Kear Memorial Open. This popular Open competition sees competitors from across the region and beyond take part, usually in March /April each year. See below for details of the 2026 competition.

Entry Fee: £6 per event £10 Quad Kids
PLEASE NOTE: Quad Kids must be in the U9 or U11 age group for this competition.
Entries close 5 April 2026, but some events will close early if they reach capacity.
Radley AC Autumn Open Graded Meeting
Our Club Championships take place in September each year.
This competition is usually run as an Open as well, again creating a fantastic competition with people from across the region and beyond taking part. In addition, Radley athletes compete in the Club Championships, results from which are celebrated at the annual awards evening each year. Full details of how to enter etc posted above.
Radley AC Kear Memorial Open Meeting
Saturday 13th April 2024 – Tilsley Park
It was wonderful to kick the Summer track and field season off with our annual Radley AC Kear Memorial Open Graded Meeting 2024. It was a busy one this year, meaning last minute changes to the timetable to ensure we could fit all athletes in and still keep to time – which we did! And we were exceptionally lucky with the weather too!
This year was particularly poignant as relatives of Charles and Eileen came to officially unveil a memorial bench for them during the day. This bench is to be placed on the hill overlooking the track – a place where Eileen used to enjoy watching the athletes at training and competition alike, and now many more can do so on their memorial bench.
Lots of PBs, lots of happy smiling athletes and their supporters, lots of positive feedback – we hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!
