Radley took a small team to Reading for its second SAL fixture of the season.
There were many good performances including 3 Club Records by middle distance treble Alex Miell-Ingram, Emma Haley and Rachel Burton.
Alex beat his own U20 3K CR by clocking 9.16.38 but this was only good enough for 3rd place in a very high quality race. Emma smashed her own pb by 8s and the previous CR by 6s to clock 4.35.02 in the 1500m to beat the record which has stood since 2007 so a 10 year old record broken for the win and U17 Rachel Burton improved the age group 1500m S/C record by almost 40s clocking 5.36.39 – an impressive performance as this was only her second ever s/c race!
There were a large number of pbs during the day including a superb sole run by U20 Faith Brew who clocked 58.43 to qualify for ESAA Champs, Gina Sunderland who got 3 pbs in 100H (15.02), 100m (12.96), 200m (26.0), Aislinn Baird in hammer (48.44m), Anabel Pozniak in 1500m (4.57.32).
Radleys sprints squad were dominant winning all four 100m races in style and the ladies 200m A, both 400m and a close 2nd in the mens 200m A. The competition proved too tough for Radley on the day with many high quality athletes in attendance and they could only manage 3rd place.
