Message from Kidlington RC:
We are running a series of 'Winter Talk Workshops' at Kidlington Running Club over the coming months and would like to offer members of all clubs in Oxfordshire the opportunity to attend.
The Winter Running Talk Series starts Monday 13th October with David Perry on his 8 keys for fast, efficient, effortless distance running!
As Marshal Co-Ordinator for the Abingdon Marathon, I am asking for the help of your club at Oxfordshire's Premier Marathon event on 20th October. Without volunteers this Marathon would not be possible. I'm sure you are aware of the difficulty of finding enough people to volunteer for a race, and a Marathon requires a huge number to allow it to run safely.

A huge thank you to all athletes, parents and officials for all their help and support this season with the Oxon League. We had the final match at Horspath last Sunday in glorious warm sunshine (not often we can say that in the same breath as Oxon League and Horspath!!). Radley came 2nd overall.
Well done to all those athletes who achieved pbs over the season - I know there were quite a few of you. As you will see from the results the girls came 3rd in the U13, U15 and U17 age groups and 3rd overall - well done to you all.
Please find attached the finalised timetable for the Club Champs on Sunday and note the highlighted changes of time. Athletes MUST register and collect their numbers at least 30 minutes before the start of their first track event.
England Athletics will be running Level 1 courses for 4 disciplines in Oxfordshire this Autumn. They will take place at Horspath Road on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November.
Radley AC discus thrower and Oxfordshire County Champion Adam Chesterman left it until his final throw to claim 3rd place and the bronze medal at the Southern English Athletics Association Championship in Kent on Saturday 17th August.
Adam (aged 15) knew he had to throw further than 44.14 metres to snare the bronze, and unfazed, rose to the challenge by producing a fantastic throw of 44.66 metres to join Rhys Alen (Southampton AC) and current U17 champ Kane Aubrey (Wimborne AC) on the podium.
Radley Athletics Club near Abingdon gets £500 gift
As the track season draws to a close, you are invited to enter the 2019 Club Championships at Tilsley Park on Sunday 15th September.
