Griffiths Gets the Gold!

At the u15/u17 South of England Champs Holly Griffiths-Brown landed the Gold medal in the u15 girls triple jump. As Holly took her first jump it was evident that the competition was over as she landed a 10.58mt jump - this was up in the top 5 jumps in the country this year and shocked the other competitors who never recovered. No one could respond and Holly just got better and better as the rounds went on.

YDL Match 4 – Wormwood Scrubs, 24 July 20

A fantastic day for Radley athletes at the final YDL fixture of 2016 as part of the Team Oxfordshire composite team.

The highlight of the day was from U20 Tom Anstice who achieved a massive pb throwing the javelin 64.18m. This was an huge improvement from his previous best of 55.80m and means a seasons improvement (so far) of over 11m. Not only was this a pb but also a CR and moves Tom up to 7th on the UK rankings. Tom also won the shot with a pb of 11.04 and won the discus with 29.54.

SEAA Combined Events - Horspath, 16/17 July 2016

8 Radley athletes had entered this year’s SEAA Combined Events Championships, with every expectation of 3 of them taking a medal.

Regrettably the attrition rate meant that no medals were forthcoming.

Day one – Saturday the 16 July started badly as Adela Hussain (SW) had to pull out before the competition started with a damaged foot. With Pakistan internationals to prepare for this was a precaution we had to take to ensure she is in good shape in Oct/Nov.

ESAA Teams for Combined Events 25-26 June

The U15 girls are all Radley athletes, Zoe Lovibond, Holly Griffiths-Brown, Kylah Rowlands and Matilda Donaghy. All the girls are in great shape and many PBs are expected in the competition.
