Radley AC hosted the final SAL fixture of 2017 and finished on a high with another comfortable win over rivals Hillingdon, North Devon and Brighton & Hove.
A great team performance from the small Radley team saw them win a significant number of events and rally to fill gaps for valuable points.
Banbury Harriers are holding an open competition on 3rd September 2017 (incorporating the County 5km Championships (link is external)). Entry form attached.
Congratulations to the seven Radley athletes who were selected to represent Oxfordshire at the Under 13 Intercounties meeting at Kingston on 29th July. They made up more than a quarter of the team which was formed from the best athletes in the county. Competing against some of the highest standard athletes in the country they achieved at least 5 personal bests in wet and miserable conditions, as well as a number of other great performances. They all conducted themselves well, and were a credit to the club.
Thank you and well done to all athletes who took part in the Oxon League match 2 at Horspath last Sunday. Also a big thank you to our officials, coaches and parents who supported us.
It was a great day with some fantastic results and pb's.
A special well done to the U11 boys who came first and to Tom Cole for breaking two Club records in the 75m - 11 seconds and the Vortex - 42.55m.
Radley athletes made one third of the Oxfordshire English Schools’ team this year. Well done to all the athletes who competed, a summary of Radley results is below:
Radley hosted the 4th SAL fixture of 2017 at Tilsley Park on Sat and came away victorious with a comfortable win.
The team spirit was the winning recipe on the day, coupled with some great performances.
Radley were well represented in the Senior British Championships which duelled as the World Championship Trials.

I write this note in June to allow clubs to discuss the contents among their members.
Each year, the average age of the County Committee increases – we need new blood to take over some of the roles in running county events. For the last few years at the AGM, it has been tacitly assumed that the status quo will persist for the ensuing year. This is about to change.
19 year old Alex Miell-Ingram won the County Champs 3K in impressive style kicking from the bell to open up a huge lead over the final lap. This was in 30 degree temperatures and after running a 5K for his Radley team the previous day. Alex’s winning time of 9.04 was also a pb and therefore broke his own CR.
